Since 1979, the Alumni and Friends of the LSE in the US (AFLSE) community has generously supported the AFLSE Scholarship. This generosity has enabled over 150 students from the US to join LSE, alleviating financial barriers many may have faced and providing these talented students with the skills required to shape the world for good.

As the end of the 2023 tax year approaches, we invite our community of alumni and friends in the United States to consider directing their support to the AFLSE Scholarship Fund and help us to secure the future of the Scholarship.

The value of every gift donated to this Fund will be matched, up to $450,000, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous alumni couple.

Together, we aim to endow the Scholarship to a value that will cover full tuition for one deserving student from the US each year in perpetuity and provide them with a stipend. In an ever-uncertain world, with many students facing rising living costs, there has never been a more important time to ensure that each year, a talented student from the US has the opportunity to join our LSE community, reach their potential, and make a positive difference in the world.
