Your support, their future
Today’s world needs leaders who can bridge divides, tackle inequality and drive sustainable change. At LSE, we prepare those leaders – but rising financial barriers threaten to exclude the very students whose perspectives we need the most.
The need for scholarships at LSE
Demand for scholarships is growing, and we simply do not have the resources to meet it. We need your help to ensure that brilliant students from every background can join this community, not just those who can afford it.
Every gift to LSE’s Scholarship Fund goes directly to creating a New Futures Fund Scholarship for a talented student who has earned their place at LSE but faces financial barriers that could prevent them from taking it up.
Your support will transform a student’s life
For many students, a scholarship is more than financial assistance. It is the moment they realise that someone believes in them. It is the freedom to take part in the life of the School, and to make the most of every opportunity LSE offers. It is the confidence to imagine a future they might once have thought out of reach.
Gifts to the fund help provide each New Futures Fund Scholar with £5,000 a year throughout their studies, helping them take up their place at LSE and begin their time here with confidence.
It’s been my dream to study at LSE since Year 9, and I was determined to make it happen. But my journey to LSE wasn’t a smooth one so when I opened my offer email and realised I had achieved my dream, I was over the moon. Receiving the scholarship has taken the financial pressure off and has given me the chance to focus on my degree, get involved on campus, and enjoy being at LSE.
I think everyone deserves an equal opportunity and chance in life, and I think it's sometimes people who are struggling financially, they also struggle to get the recognition that they deserve, even though they've got so much potential. And I think that by you donating, you give them the chance to fulfil their potential and actually get seen.
Will you help another student achieve their potential?
In September 2025, thanks to you we were able to offer a New Futures Fund Scholarship to Jensen, Laurita and seven other first year LSE students. But every year, many other talented students receive an offer to study at LSE but are not able to take up that place.
Demand for scholarships is outpacing what we can provide. Only a fraction of students who need support are able to receive it. By supporting scholarships, you can change that and more students will be able to say yes to LSE.
Whether you choose to give a single gift or ongoing support, you will be part of a student’s journey from day one.
Thank you for helping ensure that the opportunity to study at LSE is shaped by ability and ambition, not financial circumstance.

Thank you for considering our plea, and for helping ensure that talented young people can come to LSE because of what they can contribute, not because of what they can afford.
