Supporting the next generation of American leaders
More than 23,000 LSE alumni and friends live and work across the United States of America. Together, you are LSE’s largest alumni community outside of the United Kingdom and your influences reaches across the US and from the US back to LSE, helping to shape the School and its impact around the world.
Your connection to LSE can make a difference, in the United States and across the world
Through your time, expertise, networks and support, you strengthen LSE and its global community, open opportunities for students and help advance research and ideas that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Build on the legacy of LSE in the United States
One important part of this wider support is helping talented students from the United States take up their place at LSE. Through the AFLSE Scholarship Fund, alumni and friends have supported more than 150 US students to pursue postgraduate study at the School since the Fund was launched in 1979.

A donation to a student’s education is an investment in a more inclusive and equitable future. I will spend my life paying it forwards in spades. Thank you for welcoming me into the LSE community – and now, into the alumni one.
Destiny’s story shows the difference this support can make. A scholarship gives a student the freedom to focus on their studies and make the most of life at LSE, while forming part of the much broader contribution made by the US community.

This collective commitment creates opportunities today while strengthening the School for those who will follow.
Whatever form your involvement takes, it helps sustain a valued relationship between LSE and alumni and friends across the United States.
Continuing the LSE story
For generations, alumni and friends have shared their time, insight and generosity to help LSE evolve and thrive.
By continuing that tradition, you can help ensure LSE remains a place where ideas, people and possibilities come together to shape the world.
