Supporting the next generation of Canadian leaders
More than 4,600 LSE alumni and friends live and work across Canada. Together, you are part of a community whose influence reaches from Canada back to LSE and beyond, helping to shape the School and its impact around the world.
Your connection to LSE makes a difference
Through your time, expertise, networks and support, you strengthen the LSE community, open opportunities for students and help advance research and ideas that address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Build on the legacy of LSE in Canada
LSE has enjoyed a deep connection with Canada for many years and alumni are making an impact in fields such as education, law, government, banking, healthcare and the charity sector.
However, today the number of students coming to LSE from Canada is falling. Students all over the world are under increasing financial pressure. Global economic uncertainty and sharp increases in the cost of living mean that a world-class university education is becoming out of reach for many.

I would not have been able to attend LSE without a scholarship. The financial burden of tuition and the cost of living would have been too great. Receiving the scholarship relieved significant financial pressure and allowed me to pursue studies in a subject and in a city that truly inspires me, unlocking my future potential as a result.
Thanks to your generosity last year we welcomed Amélie to LSE as the inaugural recipient of the LSE Canadian Scholarship Fund Scholarship to study for her MSc Media and Communications.
We need you to help talented other Canadian students to take up their place at LSE.
A scholarship gives a student the freedom to focus on their studies and make the most of life at LSE, while forming part of the much broader contribution made by the Canadian community. Amélie's time at LSE shows the difference this support can make.
Why your support matters
From advancing research on urgent global issues to widening access and enhancing the student experience, your contributions help us to respond where the need and potential are greatest. This collective commitment creates opportunities today while strengthening the School for those who will follow.
Whatever form your involvement takes, it helps sustain a valued relationship between LSE and alumni and friends from and across Canada.

When I learnt that the number of Canadian students applying to LSE was falling, and that half of those who declined their place cited lack of financial support as a decisive factor, I and other alumni knew we wanted to do something to help.
Continuing the Canadian LSE story
For generations, alumni and friends have shared their time, insight and generosity to help LSE evolve and thrive.
By continuing that tradition, you can help ensure LSE remains a place where ideas, people and possibilities come together to shape the world.
